Like the rest of us, Fox Sports college football analyst and former Colorado quarterback Joel Klatt was left impressed by Buffaloes’ dominant Week 5 win over the UCF Knights.
Klatt discussed the surging Buffs on a recent episode of his podcast, “The Joel Klatt Show,” and shared his opinion that head coach Deion Sanders’ squad put together a “complete” performance against UCF. Colorado’s defense shut down UCF’s potent rushing attack, its offense displayed a more balanced approach and kicker Alejandro Mata nailed two clutch field goals late in the first half.
Now at 2-0 in Big 12 play, the Buffs have become a legitimate threat to steal the wide-open conference.
“All of a sudden, we got a version of this Colorado Buffaloes team that we have never seen before,” Klatt said of CU’s 48-21 win. “The complete Colorado showed up and now all of a sudden, that is an incredible surprise in college football, and it’s changing the dynamic of the Big 12.”
Colorado can secure another statement Big 12 win on Oct. 12 against Kansas State.
