Kentucky basketball and coach Mark Pope have done a good job so far in recruiting for the 2025 class, and have positioned themselves at the top of the class rankings early on. One former target, Tounde Yessoufou, as committed elsewhere, though.
Pope originally reached out to Yessoufou back in May, and has heavily recruited him since. Kentucky even made it into his final six schools. However, in the end, the forward chose Baylor.

Yessoufou is a 6’6″, 210 lb forward out of California. He is currently rated four stars by 247sports, and is ranked number 17 overall in the 2025 class. They rank him as the number four small forward in the class.
As for Kentucky, they have several other high profile targets they are still working to get. Chris Cenac and Mikel Brown just visited Lexington, and Caleb Wilson and Acaden Lewis are on their radar as well.
