The eyes of the college football world were on Tuscaloosa this past Saturday.

Entering the star-studded Week 5 showdown between the Alabama Crimson Tide and Georgia Bulldogs, it was assumed that the eyes of the entire college football world would likely fall on Tuscaloosa last Saturday night.

Well, that thought in fact did become a reality, as the Alabama vs. Georgia game was the most-watched college football game this past Saturday by far at 12.0 million viewers.

The next closest games were Auburn vs. Oklahoma at 5.0 million viewers, as well as Ole Miss vs. Kentucky at 4.0 million.

In addition to that, Alabama vs. Georgia was also the most-watched regular season primetime game on any network since 2017, as well as ESPN’s most-streamed regular season college football game on record. The game between the two teams also peaked at 14.1 million viewers.

ESPN’s “College GameDay” also had a successful visit to Tuscaloosa during Week 5, with the morning episode the most-watched September episode since 2010, as well as second-best all-time with 2.3 million average viewers.
