Gimme him: One player the Commanders would steal from the Browns

There’s one player the Commanders would steal from the Browns to improve their team.

The Washington Commanders are off to a fabulous start to the 2024 season. Jayden Daniels is proving to be more than anyone thought he would be in his rookie season, and he’s helped lead the team to a 3-1 start and take an early lead in the NFC East.

No team is perfect, though; there’s always room for improvement. This week, the Commanders host the Cleveland Browns, and there is one player the Commanders would steal from the Browns: defensive end Myles Garrett.

Garrett gets a lot of heat for his boisterous personality and aggressive play on the field. He has an “I don’t care” attitude and will run through linemen to get to the ball. Which is exactly what this Commanders defense needs.

Now in his eighth season, all with the Browns, Garrett has recorded 314 tackles (219 solo), 92.5 sacks, 19 forced fumbles, five fumble recoveries, 16 passes defensed, and 38.5 stuffs for 65 yards. He’s only played a handful of full seasons, missing games in most seasons due to injury or suspension, and he still has these ridiculous stats.

Garrett doesn’t just put stats on the board; he’s also a veteran in the NFL and a leader on his defense. He may have a history of bad behavior toward other teams, but he’s been a loyal member of the Cleveland Browns and is one of the biggest reasons its defense has success.
