Latest update on Patriots C David Andrews’ shoulder injury

Here’s the latest on David Andrews’ injury

New England Patriots center David Andrews is getting multiple medical opinions on his shoulder injury, according to a report from MassLive’s Karen Guregian and Mark Daniels.

The center suffered the injury in the first quarter of Sunday’s loss to the San Francisco 49ers.

Andrews has been one of the few dependable players on a Patriots offensive line that has been in flux for a few seasons. He played all 17 games last season, which included every offensive snap. Consistency has been one of his greatest traits in the 124 career games he’s played in during his NFL tenure.

An injury to Andrews would be a major blow to a Patriots offensive line that has struggled throughout the season. His veteran experience, as well as his ability to call out protections, have been vital for the Patriots.

Patriots center David Andrews, who left Sunday’s game with a shoulder injury and didn’t return, is getting multiple medical opinions on his shoulder injury before making a decision, according to a source.

Nick Leverett is the next man up for the Patriots at center. It’s a rough turn of events for a Patriots team playing with mostly backups on the offensive line.
