Browns set to get rookie DT Mike Hall Jr. back after Commanders game

The rookie DT will return to Berea on Monday

The NFL is suspending Cleveland Browns defensive tackle Michael Hall Jr. for five games. This does, however, mean that Hall Jr. will be returning to Berea on Monday as the league is counting the four games he missed while on the Commissioner’s Exempt List as time served.

The suspension is due to a violation of the personal conduct policy that occurred before the start of the 2024 season after he was arrested and charged with domestic violence in August. He pled down to disorderly conduct and was placed on probation last month and his case is now closed.

Hall will most likely see playing time right away in a defense that could use his playmaking abilities. We’ll see how much of an impact the rookie defensive tackle can finally make after being selected in the 2024 NFL draft in the offseason.

This also means the Browns will have to clear another roster spot on Monday to make room for Hall Jr. on the 53-man roster.
