Colorado offers four-star athlete from New Jersey

Colorado has entered the race for four-star athlete Xavier Sabb

Xavier Sabb, one of the top-ranked athletes in the 2027 recruiting class, announced an offer from head coach Deion Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes Tuesday afternoon.

It may seem early to offer a class of 2027 prospect, but Colorado is far from the first Power Four program to show interest in Sabb. Others who’ve offered the four-star prospect include the Ohio State Buckeyes, Penn State Nittany Lions and Georgia Bulldogs, per 247Sports.

247Sports ranks Sabb as the No. 1 athlete and the top overall prospect in his home state of New Jersey.

The 6-foot-1, 185-pound Sabb is currently navigating his sophomore season at Glassboro High School. Through four games, he owns 13 catches for 176 receiving yards, four receiving touchdowns, eight total tackles and one interception, according to MaxPreps. Sabb finished his freshman season with 657 receiving yards and two interceptions.

Colorado has offered multiple other prospects in recent days, including class of 2025 kicker Vaughn Lennon, 2027 four-star running back Tranard Roberts, 2025 three-star cornerback Zay Gentry.
