Ahead of the upcoming 2024-25 college basketball season that will begin in just over a month, preseason awards are being announced and released.
On Tuesday, the Big Ten released who made the first team all conference team. Unfortunately, no Spartans made the cut and Michigan State was left off of the list completely.
PRESEASON ALL-BIG TEN FIRST TEAM
Braden Smith, Purdue (POY)
Oumar Ballo, Indiana
Payton Sandfort, Iowa
Dawson Garcia, Minnesota
Brooks Barnhizer, Northwestern
Bruce Thornton, Ohio St
Jackson Shelstad, Oregon
Ace Baldwin, Penn State
Dylan Harper, Rutgers
Great Osobor, Washington— Jeff Goodman (@GoodmanHoops) October 1, 2024
A problem that fans have noted that plagued the Spartans over the past few seasons, not having a superstar caliber player, and the experts see the same problem this season for MSU.
