The Atlanta Falcons were already thin at the inside linebacker position before Troy Andersen went down during Sunday’s 26-24 win over the New Orleans Saints. Andersen led the team in tackles (17) and recorded a pick-six before suffering a knee injury in the fourth quarter.
Andersen did not return in Week 4 but head coach Raheem Morris will address the injury on Monday afternoon. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Falcons have signed inside linebacker Rashaan Evans to their 16-man practice squad.
Evans, 28, was selected in the first round of the 2018 NFL draft by the Tennessee Titans. After spending four seasons in Tennessee, he signed in Atlanta as a free agent in 2022.
Former first-round pick LB Rashaan Evans is returning to Atlanta and signing with the Falcons practice squad, per source.

Evans started all 17 games for the Falcons that season, leading the team with 159 tackles (86 solo) while adding two sacks and two fumble recoveries.
The Falcons worked out Evans along with a couple of other linebackers when Nate Landman was placed on the injured reserve list a few weeks ago. Check back later for an update on Andersen.
