Angel Reese’s side-eye with Marlon Humphrey became an instant meme

Angel Reese might have unintentionally created a new meme.

Admittedly, when we wrote about Angel meeting Ravens cornerback Marlon Humphrey during a recent Ravens game, it was because Marlon heaped praise on Angel, seemingly telling her he watched basketball because of her. (Also, Seth Rollins was in the background during the exchange, which seemed so wild).

But, upon further inspection, something else also happened. It’s possible Reese might not have been totally into the interaction because internet sleuths uncovered that Angel seemingly gave a nearby camera a side-eye right after meeting the Ravens cornerback. Here’s the exchange again:

Just before the clip cuts, Angel looks into the camera like an episode of The Office or Abbott Elementary. Here’s what we mean:

Ultimately, fans believe this look is because Humphrey is seemingly insincere, and Angel is on to him. They uncovered a video from 2023 of Marlon talking about LSU and Iowa’s national title game.

If Reese was why Humphrey started watching women’s basketball, the clip might somewhat contradict that notion. Of course, Reese’s reaction, paired with the discovery, created a new meme.
