Following an impressive road rally at Minnesota, the Iowa Hawkeyes enjoyed a bye week to rest up for a big road test at the Horseshoe.
Iowa junior running back Kaleb Johnson had another big day at Minnesota, rushing for 206 yards and three scores on 21 carries in the Hawkeyes’ 31-14 road win.
Now, Iowa (3-1, 1-0 Big Ten) will turn its attention to Ohio State. The Buckeyes improved to 4-0 (1-0 Big Ten) with a 38-7 win over Michigan State.
Ohio State senior quarterback Will Howard passed for 244 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Buckeye receivers Emeka Egbuka and Jeremiah Smith combined for 12 catches for 179 yards with a receiving touchdown apiece. Smith also had a 19-yard rushing touchdown.

The Hawkeyes picked up 29 points this week, down from the 34 points Iowa received a week ago.
After its 35-13 win over Mississippi State, Texas jumped up one spot to claim the No. 1 ranking nationally. It is the first No. 1 appearance for Texas in the coaches poll since Oct. 26, 2008. The Longhorns received 29 of 55 first-place votes.
Alabama jumps up two spots to No. 2 after an impressive 41-34 victory over then-No. 1 Georgia. Crimson Tide quarterback Jalen Milroe passed for 374 yards and two touchdowns and ran for another 117 yards and two scores.
