The 18th-ranked Oklahoma Sooners (3-1, 0-1 SEC) and the Auburn Tigers (2-2, 0-1) meet Saturday in an SEC game at Jordan-Hare Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. ET (ABC/ESPN+). Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s college football odds around the Oklahoma vs. Auburn odds, and make our expert college football picks and predictions.
Oklahoma hits the road for the Plains, looking for its 1st SEC victory. It lost 25-15 in a showdown in Norman against 6th-ranked Tennessee last weekend, failing to cover as a 5.5-point underdog as the Under (57) cashed.
The loss to the Vols halted a 3-game win streak to start the season. The Sooners are just 1-2 against the spread (ATS) in the past 3 games, while the Under has cashed in 3 of 4 outings. True freshman QB Michael Hawkins Jr. will get his 1st career start Saturday, replacing QB Jackson Arnold (0 TD, 1 INT vs. Tennessee).
Auburn has alternated wins and losses, as well as covers and non-covers. It suffered a 24-14 loss to Arkansas last time out as a 2.5-point favorite as the Under (52) cashed. The Over and Under have also alternated in 4 games to date. The Tigers are 0-2 straight up/ATS in 2 games against Power 4 opponents, cashing low in both outings.

Oklahoma at Auburn picks and predictions
Prediction
Oklahoma 23, Auburn 18
Moneyline
OKLAHOMA (+100) is a strong play at even-money in this road battle as they look to bounce back from the setback to Tennessee.
Auburn (-120) has already dropped 2 games against unranked Arkansas and California. The Sooners are a tremendous value against a toothless Tigers offense which will struggle against the OU defense.
Against the spread
Backing Oklahoma +1.5 (-115) doesn’t make much sense if you like the Sooners, unless, of course, you feel as if Auburn -1.5 (-105) will win by just a single point. That’s the only advantage of taking such a small amount of points instead of the underdog straight up.
AVOID.
Over/Under
UNDER 44.5 (-110) is a rather low number for this day and age, but based on the play of each team in conference so far, that’s the lean. Go with a half-unit play at most, however.
The Under has cashed in 3 of 4 games for Oklahoma, going for 16 or fewer points in 2 of the previous 3 outings. Defensively, the Sooners have allowed just 11.3 PPG in 3 meetings against non-ranked foes this season.
Auburn is averaging just 14.0 PPG in 2 games against Power 4 opponents, while allowing just 22.5 PPG. Look for another lower-scoring game Saturday.
