Kentucky football’s brutal SEC slate continues Saturday when the Wildcats visit the fifth-ranked team in the country, the Ole Miss Rebels, at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium in Oxford.
It will be the Wildcats’ second trip to Oxford in three years after Kentucky fell to Lane Kiffin’s 2022 team, 22-19.
Can Kentucky keep it that close this time around, or even pull an upset? The staff at USA TODAY Sports doesn’t seem to think so.
In their weekly college football predictions released on Thursday, the six-member panel of Dan Wolken, Paul Myerberg, Eddie Timanus, Scooby Axson, Jordan Mendoza and Erick Smith were all unanimous with their pick of an Ole Miss victory over Kentucky.

The Wildcats suffered back-to-back losses in SEC play to the South Carolina Gamecocks and the top-ranked Georgia Bulldogs in Weeks 2 and 3. Against Georgia, though, Kentucky fought to the very end before coming up one point short in a 13-12 nail-biter at Kroger Field.
Kentucky (2-2) rebounded a bit last week with a 41-6 victory over the Ohio Bobcats in Lexington as the offense came to life after having gone nine quarters without finding the end-zone.
Ole Miss (4-0) is coming off a 52-13 win over Georgia Southern in Week 4. The Rebels’ average margin of victory through four games has been 49.5 points. Their closest game was a 40-6 win over Wake Forest in Winston-Salem on Sept. 14.
Kickoff for Kentucky vs. Ole Miss is set for noon ET. The game can be seen on both ABC and SEC Network.
