Cincinnati Bengals head coach Zac Taylor has now addressed that private meeting with Joe Burrow after the “Monday Night Football” loss to the Washington Commanders.
Right after the loss that sent the Bengals to 0-3, Taylor and Burrow were spotted going to the coaching offices while the rest of the team headed for the locker rooms at Paycor Stadium.
It was such an out-of-ordinary thing that Burrow actually had to answer questions about it in his postgame presser.
Taylor, though, told reporters on Tuesday that it was not a big deal and that the overall vibe of the meeting had been positive, as captured by Fox 19’s Jeremy Rauch:
"We're in this thing through thick and thin."
What was the conversation between Zac Taylor and Joe Burrow? He shared some of that with us today.

While Burrow’s comments suggested things were positive too, the fact the star quarterback came out of the meeting talking about possible major changes to his leadership style will raise more than a few eyebrows.
Given the state of affairs around the Bengals right now, it’s perfectly understandable if fans are keeping a close eye on things with a hint of skepticism.
