Alabama football announces kickoff time for road trip to Vanderbilt

Alabama and Vanderbilt are set to kick off at 3:15 p.m. CT on SECN.

The Alabama Crimson Tide have raced out to a solid (3-0) start before enjoying a bye in Week 4. However, the schedule gets much more difficult from here on out with five games against ranked opponents as well as the Iron Bowl.

The Tide face their toughest test of the season with the No. 2 ranked Georgia Bulldogs coming to town this weekend. It is the first home game since 2007 that Alabama has not been favored in. Even after the Dawgs come to town, the schedule in October doesn’t loosen up with a road trip to Vanderbilt, a visit from South Carolina, a road game at No. 5 Tennessee and a home game against No. 11 Missouri to close out October.

In the past, a road trip to Vanderbilt has been essentially a guaranteed victory, but the (2-2) Commodores look much improved this year with a win over Virginia Tech and a close loss to Missouri in 2OT. With the road trip to Nashville coming on the heels of a visit from UGA, it’s a classic letdown spot.

Today, Alabama football announced that the kickoff against Vandy will be at 3:15 p.m. CT on the SEC Network. It will be Kalen DeBoer’s first true road test in the SEC.
