Potential 1st round CB prospect Shavon Revel out for the season

East Carolina CB Shavon Revel, one of the top prospects for the 2025 NFL Draft, tore his ACL in practice and is out for the season

Injuries are always an unfortunate factor in the game of football and the NFL Draft evaluation process. One of the most promising cornerback prospects for the draft class of 2025 is now out for the season after suffering a knee injury.

East Carolina CB Shavon Revel tore his ACL in practice this week and will miss the rest of the Pirates season. Revel had cracked the first-round projection in many mock drafts, and his athletic freakishness was a big reason why scouts coveted the hard-working Revel.

The injury will also keep Revel out of the postseason all-star and workout circuit. Provided there are no setbacks, he should be able to be ready for the 2025 NFL season. As for how the knee injury impacts Revel’s draft stock, it’s too early to tell. It does make Revel a tougher sell as a first-rounder, however.
