Texas A&M’s Week 4 home matchup vs. Bowling Green is just an hour away, as the Aggies look to start a winning streak heading into next weekend’s annual SEC showdown vs. Arkansas inside AT&T Stadium.

After earning the program’s first SEC road win in over three seasons against the Florida Gators last Saturday, backup quarterback Marcel Reed started his first career game due to starter Conner Weigman’s shoulder injury, which was more serious than many expected.

This week, head coach Mike Elko stated that for the rest of the regular season, the team’s starting quarterback will not be announced until just an hour before kickoff. Going into Saturday, it was expected that Marcel Reed would make his second consecutive start as Weigman continued to rehab his shoulder, and according to TexAgs’ Billy Liucci, the Aggie insider confirmed that the redshirt freshman will start against the Falcons.

In two appearances this season, including last weekend’s win, Reed leads the Aggies with 249 passing yards, two touchdowns, and 126 yards rushing and a score.

Note: Texas A&M quarterback Conner Weigman did not dress out ahead of Texas A&M vs. Bowling Green.

Texas A&M will host Bowling Green on Saturday, Sept. 21. The game will be available to stream on ESPN+ and SEC Network+.
