Colts vs. Bears: Chicago with 4 players out, one questionable for Sunday

The Bears have four players listed as out and one questionable ahead of their matchup on Sunday with the Colts.

When it comes to the Bears, they have four players listed as out and another who is questionable.

Let’s take a quick look at those five players and the potential impact on Sunday’s game.

WR Keenan Allen (Out): After 11 season with the Chargers, this is Allen’s first with the Bears. He appeared in the team’s season opener, catching four passes for 52 yards. Allen would, however, miss last week’s game with a heel injury, which still has him sidelined. The Bears passing game hasn’t been able to get going, but they still have Rome Odunze and DJ Moore at receiver.

FB Khari Blasingame (Out): As a fullback, Blasingame is used primarily as a blocker. He played seven snaps in Week 1 against the Titans and none last week. The Bears offensive line has taken its lumps through two games.

DL Zacch Pickens (Out): Pickens didn’t play in Week 1, but was on the field for seven snaps against Houston this past Sunday. He was efficient with those opportunities, totaling two pressures, per PFF. In 2023, Pickens played 264 total snaps.

OL Nate Davis (Questionable): Davis played 70 snaps at right guard for the Bears in Week 2. He gave up one sack and four pressures in that game. As mentioned, the Bears offensive line unit has had its ups and downs, with the offense averaging just 3.5 yards per carry and Caleb Williams having been sacked the second-most through two games.

RB Travis Homer (Out): Homer has three carries in two games for 16 yards. At the top of the running back depth chart for the Bears is D’Andre Swift and Khalil Herbert–although Swift has taken most of the carries. The 3.5 yards per rush as an offense ranks 29th.
