Packers QB Jordan Love practices for first time since knee injury

Jordan Love was back at Packers practice on Wednesday for the first time since injuring his left knee in the season opener.

Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love was back on the practice field and participating on Wednesday for the first time since suffering a left knee injury in the season opener on Friday, Sept. 6.

Love was wearing a sleeve on his injured left leg, per Mike Spofford of Packers.com.

Dominique Yates of PackersNews.com reported that Love went through warmups and was practicing with the team during early periods open to reporters.

Love injured the MCL in his left knee near the end of the Packers’ 34-29 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. He missed a full week of practice and the Packers’ 16-10 home opener win over the Indianapolis Colts last Sunday. Malik Willis started in his place.

Coach Matt LaFleur passed on providing an update on Love’s injury on Monday but did say he would like Love to practice before playing again. That box is now checked.

Love is currently 12 days removed from the injury. He’ll be 16 days out from the injury come Sunday.

LaFleur will speak with the media following practice on Wednesday. The Packers will also put out the first injury report of Week 3 later Wednesday. The guess here is Love will be listed as limited, and LaFleur won’t commit either way on Love’s status for Sunday against the Tennessee Titans.
