No. 7 Tennessee (3-0) will play No. 13 Oklahoma (3-0) to open SEC play Saturday in Week 4 of the 2024 college football season.
Kickoff between the Vols and Sooners is slated for 7:30 p.m. EDT at Memorial Stadium in Norman, Oklahoma. ABC will televise the contest.
Saturday will mark the fifth time Tennessee will play Oklahoma and the first as conference opponents.
The Sooners lead the all time series, 3-1, dating to 1939. Oklahoma has a three-game win streak against the Vols.
The two teams last played in 2015 at Neyland Stadium. The Sooners overcame a, 17-0, deficit to record a, 31-24 double-overtime, victory.
The teams first played in the 1939 Orange Bowl after Tennessee was declared 1938 national champions. The Vols won, 17-0, to culminate an undefeated season. Tennessee finished the season 11-0 (7-0 SEC) and won its first recognized national title under head coach Robert Neyland.
The two teams also played in the Orange Bowl in 1968, following the 1967 season, with the Sooners claiming a, 28-26, victory.
Oklahoma won at home, 34-10, in 2014.
