LeBron James to benched Panthers QB Bryce Young: ‘This ain’t on you!’

NBA legend LeBron James weighed in on the Panthers’ benching of QB Bryce Young.

Carolina Panthers quarterback Bryce Young, during what has to be the roughest time of his entire football career, just got some encouraging words from a fellow No. 1 overall pick.

NBA legend and Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James hit Twitter/X on Tuesday night to post his support for the struggling second-year passer. James tells Young, who was officially benched by the Panthers on Monday, to keep pounding . . .

Young’s benching comes after just 18 NFL starts for the former Heisman Trophy winner, who has averaged just 173.4 passing yards per game with 11 touchdowns and 13 interceptions. The Panthers went 2-16 in those starts.

James may not be able to relate to Young’s early struggles as a pro. The first pick of the NBA’s 2003 draft turned out to be one of his sport’s best players from the jump, as he earned Rookie of the Year honors at 19 years old and then proceeded to become one of the greatest athletes of all-time.

But if you can get a much-needed pep talk from anyone on this planet, LeBron is a pretty darn good person to hear it from.
