It was quite a weekend for Notre Dame football, as they bounced back from a Week 2 loss and proceeded to run the Purdue Boilermakers out of its own building.
The Irish offense accounted for 580-yards while the defense allowed just 162, which showed in the final score of 66-7. There were more than a few highlights for Notre Dame, who jumped out to a 42-0 halftime lead, which enabled them to get plenty of work for some players lower on the depth chart.
Unfortunately for the Irish, they lost three starters in the game, two of which will miss the remainder of the season due to knee injuries. While this was the bad that came out of the victory, there was much more good to come out of it.
