Miami makes the 230-mile trip to Notre Dame coming off a 27-16 Week 3 loss to the Cincinnati Bearcats. The Redhawks are continuing a tough stretch to open their season. They played at Northwestern in Week 1 (13-6 loss) and were idle in Week 2.

Notre Dame is No. 18 in the Sept. 8 US LBM Coaches Poll, and the Irish acted accordingly with a 66-7 triumph at the Purdue Boilermakers Saturday. The bounce-back win after a bad loss Northern Illinois in Week 2  saw UND outgain the Boilermakers 580 yards to 162.
