The Tampa Bay Buccaneers led the team to a win through the air last week against the Commanders. They are doing the same this week now against the Lions. The team started out slow with some critical drives ending short but they rectified that.
In major part, to Liam Coen’s play design and wide receiver, Chris Godwin is making plays.
In the second quarter, the Lions and Bucs were tied, but that changed when Baker Mayfield connected with Chris Godwin outside the hashes for a long touchdown play. That play gave the Bucs the lead, and Godwin had his 36th career game of 100 receiving yards.
Keep in mind it is still the second quarter.
The Bucs now take a 13-6 lead despite the dominance of Liosn edge rusher Adian Hutchison. The offense has sputtered, but this may be the spark they need to get things going offensively and consistently for the rest of the game.
