Colorado hit with four unsportsmanlike conduct penalties after Travis Hunter INT

Four unsportsmanlike conduct penalties on one play for Colorado

Travis Hunter made an interception near the end of the third quarter in Colorado’s 28-6 victory over Colorado State on Saturday.

The Buffaloes celebrated far too much to the officials’ liking and four — count ’em four — players including Hunter were flagged for unsportsmanlike conduct.

How did that happen? Hunter spun the football and teammates huddled around it like it was a campfire and they were warming their hands. This isn’t the NFL.

The romp by Deion Sanders’ team was a flag fest overall: Colorado had 12 penalties for 110 yards; CSU was flagged 10 times for 94 yards.

Add it up and you have 22 accepted penalties for 204 yards.

Hunter had quite the game.
