Duke football coach Manny Diaz celebrates with Blue Devils fans after Week 3 win

Duke football held off Connecticut on Saturday for a 26-21 win, and a jubilant Manny Diaz celebrated with the Blue Devils after the game.

The Duke Blue Devils needed all four quarters to outlast Connecticut on Saturday night, kicking a field goal and scoring a touchdown in the final 15 minutes for the 26-21 victory, and head coach [autotag]Manny Diaz[/autotag] celebrated the 3-0 start with the fans.

Diaz, who becomes the second Duke coach this century to win his first three games, high-fived a crowd of Blue Devils fans gathered near the tunnel and even posed for a picture before returning to the locker room with his players.

Duke scored the first 17 points on Saturday, but three unanswered touchdowns from the Huskies in the middle of the game put the Blue Devils back behind the eight ball. Redshirt sophomore Que’Sean Brown played the hero with 11 receptions for 87 yards, leading the team in both categories. He caught the go-ahead touchdown and converted a critical third down on the final possession to keep draining the clock.

Diaz and his team travel to Middle Tennessee next week for the fourth game of the season, hoping to sweep the non-conference schedule.
