Broncos’ stadium nominated for USA TODAY’s 10Best Readers’ Choice Award

Who needs a new stadium? Empower Field at Mile High has been nominated as one of the NFL’s best.

Empower Field at Mile High has undergone significant changes in recent years, including a few name changes. But some things never change, because no matter the name, Empower Field has been one of the best environments in the NFL.

Empower Field at Mile High has been nominated for Best NFL Stadium and Best NFL Stadium Food by USA TODAY’s 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards.

Broncos Country can vote for Empower Field at Mile High in each category at www.10best.com/awards/. Fans are limited to one vote per person, per category, per day. Voting opened on Sept. 2 and will close on Monday, Sept. 30, at 9:59 a.m. MT. The Top 10 winners will be announced on Wednesday, Oct. 9.

Since opening in 2001, Empower Field has been one of the best environments in sports, down to the present day. Although the Broncos haven’t been up to their winning ways as of late, fans have always shown up.

Empower Field features a capacity of 76,125 and 1.7 million square feet of space, making it one of the largest stadiums in the National Football League. The Broncos have also sold out every home game since 1970, the longest sellout streak for an NFL team in a single city.

Despite those amazing statistics and unique fan experiences, there have been rumblings that the Broncos could be in the market for a new stadium down the road.

If it sticks around, Mile High will continue to provide one of the toughest and best atmospheres in any major sport.
