Caitlin Clark grabs third straight Eastern Conference Player of the Week award

Caitlin Clark is the Eastern Conference Player of the Week for the third week in a row.

For the third straight week, Caitlin Clark has been named the WNBA’s Eastern Conference Player of the Week.

Clark averaged 25.0 points, 10.0 assists and 7.7 rebounds per game in helping the Indiana Fever to a 2-1 mark over the past week.

Clark tallied her second career triple-double on Wednesday, Sept. 4, dropping 24 points, grabbing 10 rebounds and dishing out 10 assists in the Fever’s 93-86 win over the Los Angeles Sparks.

Then, Clark scored 25 points, pulled down eight boards and assisted eight times in the Fever’s 99-88 loss against the Minnesota Lynx on Friday night. Lastly, on Sunday, Clark scored 26 points, tallied 12 assists and pulled down five boards in a 104-100 overtime win over the Atlanta Dream.

It was the 13th double-double for Clark during her rookie season.

Of course, Clark was named the WNBA Rookie of the Month and Eastern Conference Player of the Month for August last week.

Clark enters the final four games of the season just 53 points shy of breaking Seimone Augustus’s record of 744 points for the rookie single-season scoring record.

The 6-foot guard also tallied her 300th assist in the win over the Dream, becoming the fastest player to reach that feat in league history.

Indiana returns to action with back-to-back matchups against the two-time defending WNBA champion Las Vegas Aces on Wednesday and Friday before hosting their final home game of the 2024 regular season against the Dallas Wings on Sunday at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.
