Kickoff time announced for Kentucky-Ohio Week 4 matchup

Kickoff time for Kentucky vs. Ohio on Sept. 21 was announced Monday.

The SEC on Monday announced kickoff times for its Week 4 games, including Kentucky’s non-conference matchup against Ohio at Kroger Field.

The Wildcats (1-1) will host the Bobcats (1-1) at 12:45 p.m. ET on Sept. 21. The game will be televised on SEC Network.

Ohio defeated South Alabama, 27-20, over the weekend at Frank Solich Field at Peden Stadium in Athens while Kentucky suffered an ugly 31-6 loss to South Carolina in Lexington.

The Wildcats managed just 183 yards of total offense and turned the ball over twice on interceptions from quarterback Brock Vandagriff. They also allowed five sacks and failed to convert on a fourth-and-1 from their own 31-yard line early in the second quarter, which led to a South Carolina field goal.

Vandagriff was a measly 3 of 10 passing for 30 yards and was benched in the second half for backup Gavin Wimsatt.

Things only get tougher for Kentucky this week when the Wildcats welcome No. 1 Georgia to Kroger Field. Kickoff time for that game had already been announced as a 7:30 p.m. ET start on ABC.

After Kentucky faces Georgia and Ohio the next two weeks, the Wildcats will head to Oxford to face Ole Miss in a noon ET kickoff on Sept. 28. That game will be shown on either ABC or ESPN.
