Rams open as slight road favorites vs. Cardinals in Week 2

The Rams are banged up and on the road again but they’re still betting favorites against the Cardinals in Week 2

There are a lot of things working against the Los Angeles Rams in Week 2, but they’re still viewed as the betting favorites over the Arizona Cardinals. Despite being on the road for the second straight week and potentially without several key starters, including Puka Nacua, the Rams are still favored.

According to BetMGM, the Rams are 1.5-point favorites against the Cardinals in Week 2. Both teams come in at 0-1 but it’s clear the oddsmakers view Los Angeles as the better team right now.

In their season opener, the Cardinals lost to the Buffalo Bills, 34-28. They were competitive throughout that contest, though, even holding a 17-3 lead at one point on the road in Buffalo. They still covered the spread and the total clearly went over with 62 total points scored.

The Rams failed to cover the spread as 4.5-point underdogs and with a final score of 26-20, the total went under in what was expected to be a high-scoring game.

In their last 10 meetings, the Rams are 8-2 straight up against the Cardinals and 7-3 against the spread. Sean McVay is a remarkable 13-2 against Arizona since 2017.
