Michigan State football loses cornerback to long-term injury

An MSU CB suffered a long term injury on Saturday

It has been tumultuous start to the 2024 Michigan State football season with the Spartans losing several key players to injury during the 2-0 start.

One position group that has taken a massive hit is the defensive backfield, which lost two safeties, Dillon Tatum and Khalil Majeed, in Week 1. In Week 2, another defensive back suffered a long-term injury.

Sophomore cornerback Chance Rucker will miss 6-8 weeks with an upper body injury that he suffered in College Park. Michigan State coach Jonathan Smith announced details of the injury and timeline during his press conference on Monday.
