Watch highlights from Rams’ overtime game vs. Lions

If you missed Sunday night’s thriller, check out highlights from the Rams’ overtime loss to the Lions

The Los Angeles Rams didn’t get the result they were hoping for on Sunday night but they took the Detroit Lions down to the wire once again, only to come up short in overtime. The offensive line’s depth was tested due to injuries suffered in the 26-20 loss, but the defense held up its end of the bargain by limiting the Lions to only 20 points in the first four quarters.

Matthew Stafford never touched the ball in overtime, which is the sad reality of the NFL’s current overtime rules, but the Rams had several chances to win that game in regulation. Stafford played lights out with the exception of one bad interception in the end zone, and his connection with Cooper Kupp was undeniably back to 2021 form.

With Puka Nacua sidelined by a knee injury, Tyler Johnson stepped up and had 79 yards receiving, including a 63-yarder in the second half that really flipped the momentum for the Rams.

Defensively, Byron Young and Jared Verse each had sacks, John Johnson had a fantastic interception and Cobie Durant nearly came up with a highlight-reel pick in the fourth quarter.

It didn’t end with a win, but there were plenty of great plays in Sunday night’s game.
