ESPN’s Football Power Index released updated odds for Tennessee in 2024.
After two wins during the regular-season, the Vols’ chances of making the inaugural 12-team College Football Playoff have increased.
ESPN FPI projects a 65.3 percent chance Tennessee will advance to the College Football Playoff, up from 36.9 percent during preseason.
The Vols also have a 9.1 percent chance of winning the Southeastern Conference in 2024, a 13.9 percent chance of making the national championship game and a 6.8 percentage of winning a national title.
ESPN FPI also projects Tennessee to finish with a 9.8-2.4 record.
No. 9 Tennessee (2-0) will host Kent State (0-2) on Saturday in Week 3 at Neyland Stadium. Kickoff between the Vols and Golden Flashes is slated for 7:45 p.m. EDT (SEC Network).
