Sean McVay expects Rob Havenstein’s return to be ‘sooner than later’

Sean McVay shared an update on Rob Havenstein’s status, expecting him to return sooner rather than later

Sunday night was full of bad news for the Los Angeles Rams. Puka Nacua injured his knee and missed half the game, Joe Noteboom had to exit with an ankle injury and Steve Avila missed the second half with a knee injury of his own.

Sean McVay did share a little bit of good news after the team’s 26-20 loss in overtime, though. He told reporters that Rob Havenstein, who missed the game with an ankle issue, could be back in the near future.

He was questionable to play in the first place so it’s not as if he was ruled out on Friday, but it’s good to hear his return is approaching.

“We’ll see what the magnitude of those guys’ injuries are,” McVay said of Noteboom and Avila. “Obviously, we’ll get Alaric back in a couple of weeks. I think Rob’s return is sooner than later.”

Warren McClendon Jr. held his own at right tackle but A.J. Arcuri was overmatched at left tackle. At least if Havenstein returns, the Rams can try McClendon at left tackle until Jackson returns from his suspension in Week 3.
