Those listed as ‘out’ are depth wide receivers Quincy Burroughs and Joseph Griffin Jr., true freshman outside linebacker Thomas Heiberger, depth offensive lineman Leyton Nelson, true freshman tight end Rob Booker and veteran defensive lineman James Thompson Jr.

Walker and depth offensive lineman Barrett Nelson are the two with the ‘questionable’ tag.

Walker played a big role in Wisconsin’s Week 1 win over Western Michigan, rushing for 66 yards and a touchdown on just 15 carries. He and veteran Chez Mellusi were the offense’s two most productive players that night.

His status is worth watching as kickoff nears. Next up at the position if Walker is to miss time are Cade Yacamelli and true freshman Darrion Dupree.

Wisconsin and South Dakota are set to kick off at 3:30 p.m. ET, 2:30 p.m. CT.

UPDATE (3:07 p.m. ET): Zach Heilprin shared the following during pregame warmups: “Tawee Walker is dressed and kinda going through warmups, but Cade Yacamelli appears to be the second guy in. If I had to guess, I’d say we don’t see Walker today.”
