Cardinals final injury report: WR Xavier Weaver rookie debut delayed

Check out the final game designations for the Arizona Cardinals against the Buffalo Bills in Week 1.

It’s no surprise that undrafted free agent rookie wide receiver Xavier Weaver was declared out for the Arizona Cardinals’ Week 1 game Sunday in Buffalo against the Bills. He did not participate in practice all week.

The details of the Cardinals’ final injury report are below.

Arizona Cardinals Week 1 final injury report game designations

Ruled out

WR Xavier Weaver (oblique)

Weaver was expected to contribute in the kick return game, so that role could be handled by running back DeeJay Dallas and/or wide receiver Greg Dortch.

Two players have to be deep on kickoff returns. We’ll see if Dortch or Dallas is the main punt returner.

Questionable

S Joey Blount (back), TE Tip Reiman (ankle)

Blount, a standout on special teams, did not practice Thursday after experiencing the back issue in practice Wednesday. He was back on the field Friday, but was limited.

Reiman, slated to be used significantly as a blocker in the run game, was limited in practice all week. If he is inactive or limited in the game, Travis Vokolek would play mostly as a blocker.
