On Sunday, the Atlanta Falcons will host the Pittsburgh Steelers in their 2024 NFL regular season opener at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. After getting zero prime-time matchups in 2023, the Falcons are scheduled to play two in the first three weeks.
The team will battle the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday Night Football in Week 2, and then in Week 3, Atlanta will host the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday evening. In Week 1, though, the Falcons have their typical 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff against the Steelers.
Sunday’s game will air on FOX and feature Joe Davis and Greg Olsen in the broadcast booth. Check out the full television map for Atlanta’s Week 1 matchup below (Falcons-Steelers in red-shaded areas), courtesy of 506 Sports:
The Falcons are 3.5-point favorites over the visiting Steelers. Both teams selected quarterbacks in the 2022 NFL draft and probably regret it. Atlanta traded Desmond Ridder to the Cardinals over the offseason and Pittsburgh sent Kenny Pickett to Philadelphia.
Replacing Ridder is veteran quarterback Kirk Cousins, who signed a four-year deal with the Falcons. The Steelers signed veteran Russell Wilson and traded for Justin Fields. Wilson was named the starter for Week 1, but head coach Mike Tomlin said Atlanta should expect a “Justin Fields package.”
