It was a great start for Dylan Raiola, the quarterback of the Nebraska Cornhuskers. He was named the Big Ten Conference Freshman of the Week for his performance in the opening week against UTEP.
The signal caller threw 238 yards on 19 of 27 passing for two touchdowns in the game. He connected with his top receiver Isaiah Neyeor six times in the game for 121 yards and a score as well
Nebraska led from the beginning with the first touchdown. After the Miners tied it up, the Cornhuskers scored the final 33 points of the game. The 19 year old from Chandler Arizona and was a top 10 recruit out of high school. He originally committed to Ohio State, but reopened his commit. He then chose Georgia, but once again de-committed and settled on Nebraska.

Nebraska will face a tougher test in Week Two. The Cornhuskers are at home against Deion Sanders and his Colorado Buffaloes squad. Nebraska starts Big Ten Conference play on Friday, September 20th against Illinois.
