ESPN simulation anticipates a massive letdown for Browns in 2024

ESPN’s analytics department is not too hot on the Browns in 2024…

ESPN’s Seth Walder does his analytics simulation year after year, and they are usually on the side of the talented Cleveland Browns.

This year, however, is a massive shift in Walder’s simulation as the head of ESPN’s analytics anticipates a disappointing season in Northeast Ohio in a year that will turn out to be a make-or-break year for quarterback Deshaun Watson and the direction the team will be forced to take.

Not only does Walder estimate that the Browns will finish last in the AFC North, but he has their predicted record sitting at just 6-11 in 2024.

He has the Cincinnati Bengals winning the division in a tiebreaker with the Baltimore Ravens, with both teams finishing the year at 11-6. Even the reloading Pittsburgh Steelers finished with a better record than the Browns in this simulation with a record of 8-9.

With the Dallas Cowboys coming to Cleveland Browns Stadium, let’s hope the Kevin Stefanski-led Browns can outperform what Walder expects them to in 2024.
