Former Panthers RB congratulates DeShaun Foster on his first win

Respect for DeShaun Foster.

UCLA Bruins head coach DeShaun Foster got his first win as a head coach on Saturday. It wasn’t pretty, but UCLA escaped with a 16-13 victory over Hawaii thanks to a late field goal.

UCLA now goes 1-0, and Foster also goes 1-0. After the game, former Carolina Panthers running back Jonathan Stewart praised Foster for the win on X.

Shout out to @DeShaunFoster26 on his first win as a head coach for ucla bruins! #KeepPounding”

Foster played for the Panthers until 2007, and then Stewart played in 2008, so both were quality running backs during their NFL days in Carolina. Still, Stewart is not neglecting giving credit to a former Panther.

UCLA moves to 1-0 in the year, although it was a very close game, which would’ve been a brutal opening loss for the Bruins.

Stewart is an Oregon alum but still made sure to praise a former Panthers running back.
