Cam McCormick opened the season for Miami, catching a TD pass from Cam Ward against Florida on Saturday.
McCormick, 26, is in his ninth college season, although the tight end is quick to point out that would be his fourth full season.

McCormick suffered season-ending injuries in 2018, 2019, 2020, and 2021 and petitioned the NCAA for an extra year in September. He was at Oregon for seven years before moving South to the Hurricanes.

He had six receptions last season as a Hurricane.
McCormick put his time at Oregon to good use. He has a Bachelors and Masters degree from the school.
