Watch Texas A&M student hit big money field goal on ESPN’s College GameDay

Watch this Texas A&M freshman hit a field goal worth $50,000 during College GameDay!

Just hours before Texas A&M hosts the No. 7 Notre Dame Fighting Irish on Saturday night, ESPN’s College Gameday descended on College Station, Texas, bringing the usual pre-game fun that offers plenty of entertainment for the earlier weekend risers who tune in.

During one of the many segments to, let’s be honest, fill time before former Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel and the GameDay hosts picked the games, especially Texas A&M vs. Notre Dame.

One of the show’s most popular hosts, Pat McAfee, a former Pro Bowl Punter with the Indianapolis Colts, challenged a Texas A&M freshman student to hit a 33-yard field goal worth a whopping $50,000 if he made it. After missing the first attempt, McAfee was gracious and gave the young man one last shot, which he nailed right down the middle.

Congratulations to this young man on shocking everyone, which might be a good sign for Texas A&M on Saturday night!

No. 20 Texas A&M will host No. 7 Notre Dame on Saturday, August 31, at 6:30 p.m. CT, and the game will air on ABC.
