USC plays a very tough schedule this year. Some USC fans might worry that the schedule is too difficult, but if you come to play or coach at USC, this is what you want. Trojans want to test themselves against the best and prevail. “Fight On!” is a way of life in which challenges are relished and welcomed … and conquered.
USC needs to get back to being a big-game program which is often winning but is always in the mix, constantly on the big stage.
College Football Hall of Famer and Texas Longhorns legend Vince Young joins Colin Cowherd to reflect on one of USC’s biggest and most publicized college football games of all time, the historic 2006 Rose Bowl game in which Young and Texas beat USC. Young discussed the Texas Longhorns expectations in their first season in the SEC.
USC didn’t beat Texas nearly 20 years ago, but that game is acknowledged as one of the greatest games ever. USC needs to get back to being that team which is always in the spotlight and, much more importantly, always competing for national championships. That’s the USC standard. This is a year when the Trojans need to come much closer to meeting that standard.
