Cardinals fill most of practice squad

The Cardinals brought back 14 of the players they released and added edge defender Julian Okwara.

The Arizona Cardinals brought back a number of players they cut from the active roster to the practice squad. They announced that 15 of their 17 spots were filled (they get an international exemption for Austrian tight end Bernhard Seikovits). Of the 15 players, one was Seikovits, 13 were re-signed after being cut and one player comes from another team.

Including Seikovits, these are the players who returned.

  • WR Andre Baccellia
  • LB Markus Bailey
  • LB Krys Barnes
  • OL Jackson Barton
  • RB  Michael Carter
  • WR Dan Chisena
  • CB Jaden Davis
  • OL Marquis Hayes Jr.
  • OL Keith Ismael
  • WR Tejhaun Palmer
  • QB Desmond Ridder
  • TE Bernhard Seikovits
  • DL Ben Stille
  • CB Divaad Wilson

Palmer and Davis were draft picks this year. They did not bring back undrafted rookie defensive lineman Myles Murphy.

Additionally, they signed linebacker Julian Okwara, who was released by the Philadelphia Eagles.

He spent the last four seasons with the Detroit Lions and was drafted in the third round in 2020. He has nine career sacks with a career-high of five in 2021.

The moves leave two vacancies.
