The North Carolina Tar Heels are on the road to open up the 2024 college football season, facing off against Minnesota. There are a lot of questions still left for Mack Brown’s team entering this season and getting a big road win would be a huge step in the right direction.
But Minnesota is out for some revenge after losing last year in Chapel Hill.
It’s also a different Minnesota team led by the same head coach in P.J. Fleck as they have some questions to be answered too. It should be a good game as the FOX kickoff opener for the season.
As we get set for the primetime showdown on Thursday night, North Carolina has unveiled their uniform combination for the game. The Tar Heels are going to sport a blue helmet, white jersey top, and blue pants. Check out the combination below:

As you see, UNC went with Omarion Hampton to showcase their uniform for the game as the running back returns fresh off a breakout 2023 campaign.
Hampton is also sporting the UNC player-exclusive Air Jordan I cleats which we should see players in for Thursday’s game.
The two teams kick off the season at 8 p.m. ET on FOX.
