Rams sign 17 players to practice squad, including Xavier Smith and Zach Evans

The Rams set their initial practice squad for 2024, signing 17 players on Wednesday

The Los Angeles Rams set their 53-man roster on Tuesday after cutting 30-plus players and on Wednesday, the team set its practice squad. The Rams announced they have signed 17 players to the practice squad, including Zach Evans, Xavier Smith, Drake Stoops and Jason Taylor II.

All 17 of the players were with the Rams this summer so they’ll stay in Los Angeles for the time being. Typically, the practice squad is limited to 16 players but teams can add a 17th if he is an international player; for Los Angeles, David Olajiga qualifies for that designation.
