Nick Saban played a nightmare rental host in a new VRBO commercial and, yeah, this is totally believable

Never sign up for a Saban Sleepover, folks.

I’ve never considered what spending the night at Nick Saban’s house might be like because I’m a normal college football fan instead of those rabid ones.

I’m also not an Alabama fan, which, honestly, now that I’m thinking about it,  probably isn’t that different from those rabid college football fans out there.

Anyway, you get the point.

I’ve never thought about a sleepover with Saban. At least not until I saw this new VRBO commercial he’s starring in.

There’s this couple with their kids that pull up to this really beautiful house with a lovely lawn and a nice porch and, wait… Is that Nick Saban? That’s Nick Saban.

He tells them that check-in is at 3 p.m., and it’s 2:55, so, of course, they’re late. He also lays out ridiculous, over-the-top ground rules that don’t make much sense but will surely build character down the line. At least, that’s what they say anyway.

This is somehow simultaneously totally ridiculous yet totally believable. Do I think Saban runs his household like a training camp? No, probably not.

But can I see him doing that? Abso-freaking-lutely. Thanks for giving me this nightmare, VRBO. Was really looking forward to this today.
