Former Notre Dame running back Kyren Williams will have a new role for the Los Angeles Rams

Do you like this move?

We all know what former Notre Dame football running back [autotag]Kyren Williams[/autotag] can do out of the backfield.

This season for the Los Angeles Rams we will find out what he can do as a punt returner. Head coach Sean McVay said that the third-year back will have that job this season.

After he ran for 1,144 yards with 12 touchdowns and making the Pro Bowl, it’s clear that the Rams want the ball in his hands more. They drafted former Michigan back Blake Corum in April, which must be a sign they believe he can carry the load if needed.

Williams was used sparingly as a returner for the Irish, as he returned 14 punts for 151 yards in 2021.

It seems like the fantasy community is up in arms about this move, with the risk of injury being the main concern. We will see if that ends up being the case, but Williams will be back there returning punts in a few days.
