Four days. Just four days remain until the beginning of the 2024 Nebraska Cornhuskers season. Matt Rhule and his Huskers are in the midst of their gameweek preparations for the UTEP Miners and here on Cornhuskers Wire, we continue to countdown the days until toe meets leather.
With four days remaining until kickoff, Nebraska wide receiver Jahmal Banks is in the player spotlight. The 6-foot-4, 220-pound wide receiver is in his first year with the program after making the move to Lincoln after spending the first part of his collegiate career with Wake Forest.
Banks is coming off back-to-back seasons with Wake Forest of 600+ receiving yards. In 2023, Banks recorded 59 receptions for 653 yards and four touchdowns. He also had 42 receptions for 636 yards and nine touchdowns in 2022.
Banks this fall will be one of the Huskers starting wide receivers alongside fellow tranfer Isaiah Neyor and Janiran Bonner. The Washington, D.C. native will be expected to be one, if not the Huskers top wide receiver this fall.
