Philadelphia Eagles release veteran WR Parris Campbell ahead of 53-man roster deadline

The Eagles wide receiver room gained some clarity with the trade for Jahan Dotson, and Parris Campbell is one of the biggest losers of that deal with Washington.

Philadelphia is releasing the veteran wide receiver Jeff McLane reports, one hour before the roster cutdown deadline.

Campbell, a 2019 second-round pick out of Ohio State, is coming off a disappointing season with the Giants in which he caught 20 of 27 targets for just 104 yards while adding 191 yards as a kick returner.

Campbell’s most productive season came in 2022 with the Colts, as he logged 63 catches for 623 yards and three receiving touchdowns. Campbell hoped for a chance to compete for depth work behind A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith, but a hamstring injury derailed his start to training camp.
